What is mental training, and how does it work?

Mental training uses guided audio and subconscious suggestions to reshape thought patterns, strengthen focus, and support emotional balance. It helps your mind adopt new, healthier habits automatically.

Is mental training the same as hypnotherapy?

Yes. ZenQhi Mental Training is hypnotherapy — we simply call it mental training because you’re literally training your mind to release old beliefs and, as a result, let go of unwanted behaviours. It’s the same method, we just call it Mental Training.

How is hypnotherapy different from meditation or relaxation?

Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind using targeted suggestions, while meditation focuses on awareness. Both relax you, but hypnotherapy is more goal-oriented.

Can hypnotherapy make me change if I don't want to?

No. Mental training only works when the change aligns with your own intentions. When doing the exercises, it’s important to have the mindset that you want to change the behaviour — and to trust that the process will work.

Is mental training scientifically backed?

Yes. Hypnotherapy and subconscious reprogramming are supported by research showing improved focus, reduced stress, and positive behavioral change.

How quickly will I start seeing results?

Some people feel calmer immediately, while others notice changes over days or weeks. Consistency is the key. Mental training is similar to physical training — but with one important difference: once you truly change a belief at the subconscious level, it doesn’t fade the way muscles do when you stop training. The transformation becomes a permanent part of how you think and respond.

Can anyone be hypnotized or guided through mental training?

Most people can, as long as they’re willing to relax, follow the guidance, and trust the process. Just like physical training, you don’t become fit after one session — but a transformation is already beginning. Trust that each exercise is moving you closer to the change you want.

Is it safe to use mental training exercises every day?

Yes, we recommend using it daily. Regular use deepens the results and strengthens new mental patterns. As a minimum, you should do an exercise three times a week. The best part is that it doesn’t feel like training — in reality, it feels more like taking a refreshing power nap. A power nap that just made you physically and mentally stronger.

Can mental training help with anxiety, stress, or overthinking?

Absolutely. The exercises calm the nervous system and help reprogram the patterns that fuel stress and overthinking. We have specific exercises for all three.

Can I use the exercises while falling asleep?

Yes. They work very well during the transition into sleep, when the subconscious is most open.

What is the ZenQhi mental training library?

It’s a collection of guided audio sessions designed to help you reprogram your subconscious mind for better sleep, confidence, focus, habits, and emotional balance.

How often is the library updated with new audio sessions?

New sessions are added whenever we receive a request for a topic we haven’t already covered. If there’s something specific you’d like help with, we’ll create it and add it to the library for free. If you need it, many others need it just as much. When you help us help you, you help countless others.

Which areas of life can NewYou help me improve?

Sleep, stress, confidence, mindset, productivity, emotional balance, habits, and personal goals. The possibilities are endless.

Do I need experience with meditation or hypnotherapy to use NewYou?

No. The sessions are completely beginner-friendly and guide you step by step. We include a gentle background frequency to help you slip into a meditative state effortlessly.

What is the background noise?

The background sound is a binaural frequency specially designed by ZenQhi to help your mind slip into a focused, subconscious state.

People who have mastered meditation can reach theta and delta brainwave states during practice — something that often takes years to develop. With our background frequency, you can access this state from your very first session, making the mental training more effective and effortless.

How long are the sessions, and when should I use them?

All exercises last between 15–20 minutes and can be used anytime you want to relax, focus, or reset your mind. A great moment to use them is whenever you feel like you need a power nap — the effect is similar, but with the added benefit of training your mind at the same time.

Why do some Zenqhi exercises have a similar opening?

For many exercises, the guidance in the first part may sound similar — and that’s intentional. We designed it this way to train your mind to enter the subconscious state more quickly. Once you reach that state, the focused message related to the specific belief change begins. By this point, you may already have drifted off, so you might not consciously notice this part — but your mind still absorbs it.

Should I be lying down or sitting during the exercise?

Since this exercise can guide you into a very relaxed state, make sure you’re settled in a secure and comfortable position, whether sitting or lying down. I personally prefer lying down.

Practical and Technical Questions

Do I need headphones?

Headphones are recommended but not required — they simply help you immerse deeper.

Can I use the audios offline?

No, you’ll have to use the app. However, you should set your phone to "do not disturb" so you wont be interrupted during a exercise.

What if I fall asleep during a session? Does it still work?

Yes. Your subconscious keeps absorbing the suggestions even if you drift off.

Can I use multiple programs at the same time?

Yes. You can combine sessions as long as the goals feel aligned. However, we recommend that you don't work on more than 2 different behaviours as the same time.

What should I do if a session feels too intense?

If you feel overwhelmed, we recommend that you go back to the base exercise, Physical Relaxation.

Is mental training a quick fix or a long-term practice?

It can bring quick relief, but lasting change comes from consistent practice.

Will I notice changes in my daily behavior or thinking?

Yes, often gradually — you may feel calmer, more focused, and more in control.

What if I don't feel anything during the first few sessions?

That’s normal. Your mind is adjusting. Keep going — the effects build over time.

How do I know the training is working?

Sometimes you won’t notice it consciously — your belief system can shift quietly in the background. Other times, you’ll spot small but meaningful changes: better sleep, reduced stress, clearer thinking, and healthier habits. These subtle shifts are signs that the mental training is taking effect.

Can NewYou help reprogram old habits or limiting beliefs?

Yes. That’s one of the core strengths of subconscious-based mental training.

For most people, yes. If you have a severe mental health condition, check with a professional first.

Can I use mental training if I have a mental health condition?

Often yes, but it should complement—not replace—professional treatment.

Can I combine NewYou with therapy or coaching?

Definitely. Many people find that mental training enhances other forms of growth.

Is it safe to use the sessions while driving?

No. These sessions are designed to relax you, so only use them when you can fully unwind.

Is NewYou suitable during pregnancy?

Yes, most sessions are safe, but avoid any deep-breathing or body-focused sessions that feel uncomfortable.
